i have an 86 k5 with electric rear window, when window is rolled down all the way it sticks about a 1/2 inch or so above the top of the tail gate, its been like this since ive owned it, i had to replace the rear window once because some one loaded something heavy into the back without opening the tailgate and put it down on top of the tailgate shattering the window. even after having the window replaced it still sticks up above the tailgate, ive looked inside but dont see any obvious way to adjust it. has anyone else had this issue? is there a wat to adjust how far down it goes or is this just a design flaw? are all blazers like this?

Thats how it is.
1) live with it
2) soft top and pickup tailgate
3) fabricate a lift hatch like the 1st gen had.

Guessing when the gate was overloaded, something got pushed down and is making contact with the bottom of the windows assembly.

Or you might try taking the screws out of the tailgate panel and seeing if they are too long?
