Just curious to see how some of you guys with K5 DD's on 35's or bigger carry your spare and equipment to change it.
I guess there are two schools of thought here:
1) Changing a 35 or bigger on the side of the road is too much, call a tow.
2) Carry the spare and change it.
Honestly, I got tired of looking at the 35" spare in my rearview mirror and took it out. Been trying to figure out a way to reasonabley carry a FS spare and Hi-Lift.
Keep it where it was?
Roof rack/carrier is out, too high.
So is one of those high-speed tubular all in one bumper/tire carrier/diaper changing stations.
Carried my 37" spare in my 3/4T with this.....
I would remove the rear seat and mount it inside the cab. Never use the rear seat anyway.
I like this idea best, but WTF they're like $700.... sorry big pic, was only one I could find on a K series. And I believe the guy lives in NC and is entertaining offers...sweet rig!
