Sucks and all but trash seems to get away with **** these days. How bad is the damage? Kinda hard to see in pic but is it creased? Could the interior panel be removed and popped out the dent?

I can tell by the pics, that's not a paintless dent repair job. It'll pushed/pulled out, some led or bondo work over, sanding and paint. That's pretty deep.

After another look at the pic, that needs a panel replaced, Cut it out and weld a new one in is the best approach. Then paint match.

A good bit of that should pop out. If they are anything like an S10 back there, there isn't much in the way of bracing. Regardless they need to bring back the gallows in the town square for these types of situations.

Well sure, alot of it can be popped out, but it's not going to look finished without finishing it. It's going to look like a popped out huge dent.

OK, that pretty much determines without a doubt, the starter is bad. You're 100% certain the battery is good, you're 100% certain the engine isn't seized and turns freely, so by jumping the solenoid, you've bypassed the ignition switch and all wiring to the starter so if it was something between ignition switch and solenoid wiring, then it would have cranked and cranked with a jumper on the solenoid bypassing anything else that could have been the problem. By process of eliminating everything else, the starter is BAD !!!
