It was the ICM, good thing i saved the one a year ago when i did a tune up. $227 for gm module to last a little less than a year.

That's very unusual for a genuine GM module to fail without a reason,especially in under a year. I'd be checking my coil,making sure all connections to the distributor are tight,the distributor clamp is tight,plugs are gapped @.035 . Something is stressing your module or it's aftermarket module. They fail all the time.There are a few exeptions,but aftermarket modules being poor quality,is the rule not the exception. And AC/Delco no longer means genuine GM or even good they have gone to a 3 tier system to stay competitive with aftermarket,the bottom 2 tiers are typical parts store grade,bottom tier is the junk Chinese parts store grade. If you can't beat them join them.

Just posting for info. I had a similar issue with stop / no start in my 85 a year or so ago. It would stop when hot, then restart…then progressively got to the point where it would not restart warm. I changed the ignition module and thought I fixed it.

The issue came back and it ended up being a bad pickup coil in the hei. Worth keeping an eye on.
