@Dooley,
Well, I'm an ol' Army guy. I've always wanted one of those " recon " APC. Not a full size one but for everyone else who doesn't know, a Recon APC is about half the size of a full APC and only holds about three guys. When I was in my last days in the Army we were out one day and here comes two of these little APC's. I found out what they were and I've wanted one ever since. They would be a blast to run around in.

Are those "Duce and a half's" multi-fuel or gassers? I had a chance to drive a duce and a half for a while. When I was in the Panama Canal Zone with Eight Special Forces Group at Ft. Gulick we'd make jumps from time to time and we'd take turns driving out to the LZ to pick the guys up and all the chutes. I like what you got man! I had a GSA number? is that what they're called? It's been so long. Where I could go bid on some of that stuff when the government has their auctions. They've got some cool stuff. Are you a surpluser? Find me a Waco!

The deuce's I have are all mutlifuel.
My M51 has a Continental 6602 gas with Mack axles. All the rest of my trucks have Rockwells.
The 5 tons have 250 Cummins except the M925A2 with has the "military 6BT" with turbo.
I buy for myself. Internet auctions and private purchases.
Sometimes a truck leaves with someone else.
Deuces beginning to be scarce from Uncle Sam.

I really need more cars, and maybe a boom truck to get this damn cat out of my tree.
What do you mean "up my game" when you've got the Queen Mary on your property?

I was put on a 4 vehicle limit about 15 years ago.
I have 6 spots to park in and all were occupied.
Two of them moved on their own.

Now I have 6 vehicles.
4 run, 3 are able to leave the driveway.

Newest one is a 1995 Suburban

I think I got lucky, my wife lets my buy whatever as long as we can afford it, and bills are paid of course. She complains about yard space though! They all run and drive at least! Well except the grey GMT-400. I ran into a guy that offered to buy our suburban for about 3k. Unfortunately I couldn’t find another that was in decent condition, or a sqaure suburban, so I had to tell him no. It’s been good so far! Got the old sqaure going good again, carpet cleaning it out this weekend.

@Dooley,

Yeah, the government is probably giving the duce's to El Salvador or god only knows what's happening to them. For the short time I drove them I liked them. I can't imagine what's happening to them all. What about the five ton's, I don't know any nomenclatures, we just called them 5 ton's. Are there still plenty of them left around? You know the military axles are used up by the Monster Trucks. They use them exclusively if they can get them. What happens to the rest of the truck when the axles are sold, I don't know. There's got to be giant military grave yards somewhere in the country where all good Army equipment goes to die a slow death from rust. But, where? You may know more about that than I would.

There's a huge military equipment surpluser in Denver, Colorado. I used to drive by there every day to work when I lived in Denver. He's still there I believe. He had APC's, tank retriever's, big ass trucks like yours, and the whole nine yards. I don't remember the name. Do you?
