I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. Just bought a new HVAC control panel as a few of the mounts were broken. Also, there is also a lot of slop in the slider that selects which mode the HVAC system is in. Wondering if anyone might know what the white part in the second picture is called or where I can get one? The new panel only comes with the front face, not the mechanism behind that actually selects AC/Vent/Heat ect. I’m trying to get rid of all the slop in selector as well and need the white piece unless there is a way to tighten up the original..?

Thank you all in advance.

The white piece is what controls the vacuum to all the actuators under the dash. It’s not included when you buy new dash controls, and I’ve not found a source for a new one.

I’ve had similar problems with my controls. I have only been able to repair the vacuum lines, and just left the old controls in place.

I took the white plastic selector control apart on my '79 and overhauled it. It's been a while and my HVAC controller still works great. I made a thread on it, I'll see if I can find it.

Than you for the info. I pulled mine apart and cleaned it up as well just like the post. Think it made quite a difference. Thank you again.
