Hughes 700r4 convertor questions

Hi Guys,still dealin with my trans.The 52k mile trans I had a line on was 900$$ so it was a no go.Got another line on a Hughes built 700r4 with 3k on it for 800$$.The guy says it was behind a 88 burb with a 6.2 that threw a rod. He also says it has a deisel convertor supplied by Hughes.Question is will this convertor work with the gas 350?? Differant stall speed?? Been looking on Hughes site and cant find the rating.Got any ideas..

Since diesel's redline is lower than gas, it will have a lower stall, maybe 1500 rpms. Before running that 700R4 you need to ask yourself, do I have the right gear ratio/tire size combo for this trans? If not it will be short-lived.

I run 33's and 3.73, it's not an ideal combo and I wouldn't expect a somewhat unknown 700r4 to hold up for any length of time. I had the 700r4 rebuilt and beefed up about 40K ago and I've been thinking about swapping in a th400 just for piece of mind.
