Put it up on the rack to pull off the stock exhaust

Hung the tailpipe first and immediately saw how bad the tip was gonna land

Held the muffler up with a bungee and saw where I was gonna have to cut the hanger off my stock front pipe to be able to clamp it to the muffler

The top of the over axle portion of the tailpipe also rams into my 5th wheel plate

I re-welded the hanger I cut off onto the muffler. I re-bent it better after this picture

Ultimately, the tailpipe section is just too far off to be used on a truck. I used our oxyacetylene torch to heat beat the top of the over axle section to clear the 5th wheel plate but it's at the wrong angle to be able to clear the spare tire and there's no hope of getting the tip in a decent spot. I heated multiple sections trying to bend it, even took the whole tailpipe section back out to throw in a vice and try to heat/bend it. No dice. I then tried to just cut it off where you couldn't see it and even my Diablo blades on my sawzall wouldn't touch it. Idk what kinda stainless this is but it's stout! I threw up my hands at 8pm Friday night and just ran it like that all weekend.

I couldn't take it anymore so yesterday I got out the death wheel and cut it off where you can't see it and painted it black

That'll work till I can get a proper tail pipe made. I do want to run the tip, just tucked up where it should be

I'm glad you ended up temporarily just dumping it instead. That's much better until you can get the tip sitting right.
All in all though, the deal still seems good enough to work with.

Oh for sure, even with a trip to the exhaust shop for a tail pipe, I'll still be in this 1/3 or less than retail would've been. I'm seriously thinking about having the muffler V-banded in so later on I can swap in one of the small Corsa's like I have on the blue truck if I want more volume
