I am a fan of the cowl hood, but they have been done to death. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as other options? Something not so common. Just fresh ideas. I can fabricate, but it is nice to have an image to work from. You can spend hours on an idea that looks terrible in the end.

Keep it low! I ran a 7" Harwood scoop on my old K10 to clear a tall carb and it was annoying to look around.

instead of a cowl, go the other way like a Hickey hood

You must be registered for see images attach
You can get those hoods i have one for a 73 to 80 they make ones for 81 and up but I have not seen one they make them to order last time I found them they were $700 plus shipping it going to look good on my 73 c10 stepside when I get to it

Functional or decorative?
I’m actually quite partial to the hood blister you’d find on 60s Ford factory drag cars. Or the Ram Air dual scoop style used on Buicks/Pontiacs from the late 60s.

For function, open up the 2nd core support inlet, run a dual snorkel air cleaner. Cowl hoods and such are too blatant, stealth is where it is for a WTF/“How did he do that?”
