Hood hinge issue

I was making a very short drive to help maintain my 1984 C10 after not been driven for a couple of weeks. I was driving at about 35 mph and thought the safety was latched and it was not. I know.....should have checked. The hood came up, I was where I could immediately stop and close the hood. Noticed it was harder to close, but it did close and latch. Once home I opened the hood to inspect things. Something has definitely changed, but the hood is not bent. The hood seems to bind at the rear near the windshield. The hinge and spring look normal. Something has changed that I can not see. I'm guessing some of you gentlemen have encountered this. Thanks for your help.

Most likely bent the arms on the rear hinge mechanism or sank in the section the hinge mounts too on the hood itself.

Ouch. At least the hood isn’t kinked and you can get new hinges for under $100.
Don’t feel bad. You’re not the only one. I did it a couple years ago , newer truck. I got lucky and could bend everything back to 95% as good as new.

Thanks for your replies. I suspect the hinge is the issue although there is no visible bending.
Where the hinge mounts the hood looks normal. I plan to remove the hood so I can see everything better and compare the hinges I remove to the ones I'm going to order from LMC. Something is bent somewhere.

I'll report back when I learn what the issue is.

Hinges appear dry, lube the heck out of them for starters

I was going to go where Finkaire went - those hinges look like they were long neglected. A problem many of us had to educate ourselves on.

Years back, I was good about oiling doors and things. Took a while to figure out the hings of the less problematic hoods needed it too. Then there's the benders.
