I'm trying to change the front bumper on my 82, and the bolts have these chrome button looking things on top of them. How do you get the bolts out of these bumpers?

Thanks guys.

Its called a stove bolt. Its got a square peg that fits a square hole in the bumper. Use a 3/4in wrench or socket behind the bumper to take them out. If the bolt turns you will need the grab the head with a vise grip. Also use wd40 on the threads.

Thanks guys. I don't have any vice grips, but I'll go see if I can figure it out again.

another way to hold them is by putting pressure in ward on the bolt head or cap with a floor jack and block of wood
