Hey guys I need a hand finding the impact strips that go on the front bumper on the 81-91 style. Can't find them anywhere. I'll post a picture of a truck with them for reference

I know we don't carry them, I'd check with LMC Truck. But it wouldn't surprise me if they don't carry them either, we don't get much demand for those at all (hence us not carrying them).

If you build it, they will come.

If you can’t find them for a squarebody, it’s the same style trim as GMT 400 I’m pretty certain. Idk if the bumper trim would match perfectly with the tabs that clip in.
But you can buy the gmt 400 sticky back trim that goes on the fenders and doors by the roll. Bet it would be a perfect match.

Would the body side molding for a GMT-400 work until you could find the correct pieces?

Never really thought about using that, might be a temp fix until I find someone that had an extra pair

Is that the exact style you are looking for? It's specific to the '89-'91 K5 and Suburban. It is contoured to fit the shape of the bumper, the stick-on side moulding is wider than the flat surface of the bumper where the pad goes.

The earlier style rub strips were more narrow and much more plain. They are also not reproduced, I believe.

Either style would be fine, ordered and 81-82 front bumper with the holes for the pads, after I had it I realized that no one made the inserts and I'd need to find a used pair

Page 13 is grille stuff. In with the bumper stuff, I see things I didn't know were available like impact strips for on the optional bumperettes and impact strips for the rear bumpers. But there's no impact strips for the front bumpers.

I haven't got any parts catalogs in a while. Looking through that one, there's OODLES of resto parts that I had no idea were available.
