Maybe the NSS showing neutral has something to do with it? At the same time, I would expect there would be some speedometer (VSS) codes. The PCM probably wonders how it’s getting a vehicle speed signal with the transmission in neutral!

If it works, that’s all that matters.

I love hearing you guys talk about stuff I have no idea what you are talking about, ha, ha, ha. All I understood was TH350, tail piece, speedometer, switch and that was about it, ha, ha, ha. I love it.

PCM= Powertrain Control Module (computer)

NSS=neutral safety switch


TPS= throttle position sensor


VSS=vehicle speed sensor


Valve body= the brains of the transmission. Uses information from the TV cable,
TV cable=throttle valve cable. Connected to the throttle linkage on the carb to tell the valve body when the shift, what gear, etc


That’s a few of the common terms. If get nothing useful from all this worthless info, maybe it will come in handy next time you play scrabble?
