 My name is John and im an automotive guy and I love these trucks! I own a 1988 Chevy K5 blazer and love that beast. Im also a currently serving Air Force Airman stationed out at Whileman AFB, Missouri where I do "autobody" work on the B-2 Spirit aka Stealth bomber its a sucky job where I smear putty and watch paint dry on that POS. I was supposed to be a motor pool guy but was put into med hold after graduating BMT. I am originally from the state of California and do not miss it one bit. :patriot: So here I am to question and enjoy the information and wisdom offered in this forum which seems to be a nice and friendly place so far.

welcome! The aircraft body work sounds interesting. How exactly does it get dented in the first place?

Very true, but it would have to hit one on either its accent above 30k feet for its decent back to earth. I would hope they fly stealth bombers higher than commercial jets and even at 30k there is no oxygen......:Moon: Jk retro just messin with ya!

Its a not just that pilots do things they are not supposed to do on these old and aging aircraft. Lots of strains and forces compromise the structural integrity of the airframe. I cannot talk about repairs but its really just like auto body work.

Just throwing out suggestions. I'm sure they could hit a bird before getting up to 30k feet, though. They have to take off from somewhere

*top secret* Some ******* helicopter pilot decided to dip the bottom of a blackhawk in lake Tahoe for some reason and did a bunch of damage to it. That was not a secret and all over the news, a bunch of tourist had video of it hahaha.

HI John, what part of Cali you from??? I am also born and raised in So Cal. Downey/Norwalk area. I've been transplanted in a burb south of OKC for 20 years now. Not the least bit homesick. I do miss my friends and few relatives left there, but other than family and friends, that place can fall off into the Pacific Ocean whenever its damn good and ready.

Welcome, a So. Cal. feller also, (East county San Diego) I too don't miss much about Cali. Moved to N. E. Texas 16 years ago. The only thing I miss from Cali is the Mexican food, the Tex-Mex crap they call Mexican food here SUCKS!!!!!! I'd kill for a Carne asda burrito, or a shredded beef taco.

Oh by the way nice Blazer
