So I bought my 82 K25 6.2L a little over a year ago, and it hasn't been fun, to say the least. I put her on the market and was going to trade her, the guy showed up and she didn't want to start. batteries keep dying, would crank put not run. So I would not trade him a vehicle he has not heard start. Well I wen out a few hours later after a full charge for the third time, fired the first try. So I took that as a sign and I am now going to keep her and work on her. first new batteries, the 465 to 4500 swap. I need highway speeds, I will be only pulling two things other than vehicles from the ditch, and that is a boat and 5th wheel camper.

The rear diff is a 10.5" 3.73 gear, I know it is a heavy duty rear end. She has rust on the cab, and a flat bed witch I want to change back to a regular 8' bed, and replace the missing fuel tank. Of course the speedo and fuel gage are inop. So any help with that would be great, figured for now I am using my GPS for speed.

anyway, if anyone is in the Kansas City area and can help with anything or just chit chat, hit me up. If not I hope to learn something from this group.

Welcome. You may want to verify you have a full float 14 bolt. The sales brochure I have shows the 9.5" semi-float 14 bolt for K20 Diesels. Not to say a prior PO did not change it.

Will do, what would be the best way to find out?

Will do, she is Red not white, sorry, but she will be a matte grey with a hint of green when I get that far.

That could take a while to find. I am not the best at vehicles, I am better with firearms. There are wires running ever direction, some old and oily and some new and spiced in by the PO, and I thing a couple by me to get the horn working. I wonder if it has something to do with the turn signals not working. I guess that is a place to start, just need to figure out where those wire are.

And from the looks of other 10.5", I am gonna say it is the smaller 9.5" SF

Welcome from TX.
Yes, you have a SF. A FF has axles bolted on. You can see bolts on ends of the axles by the wheels .
