I signed up for this site recently and have had a blast browsing all of the sub forums, so I decided to introduce myself and my truck.
I am 15 with a 1976 Cheyenne 10 fleetside, This is my first vehicle and my first square body, so when I turn 16 in 6 months I will have my daily driver all ready to go. Overall the truck is solid, but there is the typical 40 year old rot and such.
Now on to the truck. The truck was purchased in 1976, traded in, purchased used in 1978 by the gentleman who owned it until his passing in 2015, auctioned off in 2016, then we rescued it from under an oak tree in the ghetto in September 2016.
I think if you look up old man truck in the dictionary this will show up. Camper shell, running boards, clown car tires all had to go.
Here you can see all the tree goop and the slight crease.
However, the engine is a 350 crate motor installed with 350 transmission backing it in 2007 and about 5000 miles when brought home. It has A/C that has been updated to 134A and the jack and handle is still hanging out on the passenger inner fender.
After many late nights and weekends of wire wheeling, priming, painting (frame, hitch, rear bumper, wheels, no body work), elbow grease, and nickel and dime fixing here she is.
After doing some research I found out it was originally Rosedale red and Buckskin, so I did a little photo shopping...
