Attempting my first ever cap & rotor replacement but hit a roadblock... I can't for the life of me get the coil pack to come out of the cap. Any tips or tricks to get this thing out? The 4 screws are out and both plugs on the end are out. Thanks guys

They can be a little sticky. Just gently pick it out with a flathead screwdriver.

That's what I was attempting to do at first but was afraid of hurting something. Figured I'd better check with the experts here before breaking my coil pack lol thanks

Haha, I'm definitely no expert, but that should do it. The coil is very tough. It can handle it. I won't speak to your old cap, but it didn't even damage it when I did it.

Pretty sure I already cracked the old cap trying to get my screwdriver in but oh well. When it wouldn't come out I assumed I was doing something wrong. Thanks again!

Sorry! Didn't think you guys would want to see my dirty ugly engine bay lol and it's been raining last couple days as well. When I go back out to install the new plugs and wires I'll get a pic.

pics would make some feel good and others feel bad about their engine bays. LOL don't worry about the grime, pics are always welcome. Hell someone might notice something else that needs to be fixed not related to your current problem.

Better late than never right?

So after rain then a cold spell and finally a bout with a stomach virus I made a little progress on her lol! Got the new (ugly) cap and rotor on, along with new plugs and wires. And I finally took some pics lol. She might be ugly but at least she's mine. Apologies in advance if the pics are sideways... friggin technology
