Headlights only work when I press the dimmer button

Hello, so recently bought a 83 gmc k15. The headlights were working fine until two days ago. My headlights wouldn’t come on. I pressed my foot on the dimmer switch and my brights came on but I have to hold my foot down on the button to keep them on? Was wondering if you guys think my light switch is bad but all my other lights work when I turn them on, dash, interior ext.. thanks for any and all help!

Aggressively push the dimmer switch a bunch. It might come around, but yes the dimmer switch is the issue.

So even though my low beams never come on it’s still the dimmer switch? But thanks. I’ll go try that here in a few. Thanks!

Either that, or both bulbs and/or related wiring is the issue.
