So I went ahead and ordered front 8 inch springs. These things should be a direct bolt right? No changing shackles ect? I'm buying all parts a little at a time.

Are you stock hight right now? If so, you will be 2wd and will be without steering if you didn't get anything else to go with the springs.

In theory you would need much longer shackles, because the spring with more arch has more room to compress and swing the shackle into the frame. But in reality, they will be stiff and not compress much at all. Worst case, a little longer shackle could be useful, but those aren't hard to change later on.

Adding longer shackles will give an ugly front pinion angle. Yes there are wedge blocks to correct this. So does adding to the front spring mount to lengthen evenly.
