Ive been reading old Posts but id still Like Anybody to chime in !! I'm gonna put an 8 inch Lift on my k10....I see so many different ways. Theres Blocks / extra long Hangers / ... I want the truck to still have a Fairly Decent Ride so I'm Wondering if doing a 6 inch Springs and then block it up 2 Inches.... because id Imagine the 6inch springs would still ride a little better that 8 inch .... if Anybodys tested these Routes chime in Thanks!

That’s how mine is, but add a leaf and shackle flip in the back.

There's a difference...
He's talking 8" lift and blocks and a "Decent ride".
This is like 3 decades + old thinking...
Eww lift blocks.......shackle flip gives 4” and no blocks.

51" rear springs mounted up front give 6" of lift and no radical arch... mitigating flex.

The Truck will only used on asphalt its not gonna be an offroad Truck, Im deffintly gonna raise it 8 inches but wasnt sure if I should do the 8" Springs, or if perhaps theres an alternative such as 6 inch springs with 2" block or reverse shackles ect. just to provide a little better ride. This is my first time lifting a square body.

I just really like the 8 inch lift, I knew a guy that bought an 87 Brand and he had an 8" lift installed right after he bought the truck...it's alaways been with me so I finally bought one and now I'm gonna build one.

My uncle had a 1974 K20 and that's what started me on squares, that's another story though. 6" lift with 35s! My Aunt and Uncle said it was A BEAST in the mud!!!!!!!!
