I was driving on my lunch break and heard what I thought were gun shots. and in a short distance I was off the roadway missing one important item. Since then I have done a 8 lug swap.

To be totally honest, that can happen no matter how many wheel studs you have.

True very true but I like the larger diameter studs and larger quantity. I feel its better oods of it not happening again especially on 41" tires. Its no fun lol.

Lol, that had to be quit the entertaining ride! Scary for sure at that height.
I had my 35" rear drivers wheel wobble off pulling into a parking lot.
Thought someone hit us with a grenade?......

Ive seen many people drill out the holes to fit bigger studs.

Ive also seen street-rods Bust both wheels off with nhra studs.

Actually my friend in passenger seat looked out the window when the blazer started to shake really bad which was about the time it broke off. It left black marks down the passenger side. He didn't enjoy the ride either I would say he had to change his pants too.

My buddy's 79 Dodge had the front wheel fall off one time when we were riding in it. It's a weird feeling for sure. Haha

In those pictures it had 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body with 39.5 18.50 15. I would also suggest to never go with a tire that wide if you plan on driving it on the street. Now blazer has same lift with 41 13.50 20. I will check to see what pics I have.

Wide tires are very very hard on suspension and wheel studs as you very well know. The 41x13.50R20 should be much more streetable than your other tires.

Glad to hear nothing happened. When I was 17 I had a brake caliper shear off and lodge itself between my hub and the inner diameter of the rim and it locked up my front right tire and sent me hurdling straight off the road. If it had been the front left I would have ended up in a head-on. It is a terrifying experience to have something like that happen without you expecting it. Switching to narrower tires was probably a smart move too.
