I'm positive you could pull some really decent mpgs out of a Holley :) might take a/f meter but it could be done.

It probably will take an AF meter, but I don't see that happening for a trash/wood hauler with some snow driving. Just not too concerned with mpg especially since gas has gone way down.

well for me the blazer I'm going to be building up will be 2wd and I'll use it as my daily driver and keep the suburban for towing duties and other jobs

Cool I guess it's a two way street one hand:tbi you could use everything you have now and have left over parts :). Lq4: you'll need extra parts to fit it in there:)
But it likely won't have to be rebuilt as those have a track record off running 300k no prob

Well this is what I'm starting with. So either way I've got to buy parts to make things work for either engine.

LOL any engine can run for over 300k easily if maintained properly.. I've owned many vehicles with that much mileage. My last truck was a 98 chev with over 500k on the clock.
