I bought a gm crate engine and a reman gm 700r4. Engine runs great, the transmission not so much. Bolted them together and no movement. Gm dealer replaced the front pump and boom it moves. Shifts funny but it moves. Local tranny shop says I have no 2nd or 4th. Gm dealer says I toasted my tranny but it shifts into 1st, 3rd, and reverse.

The big one
Personally Im a bit uncomfy with a reman GM tranny having these problems off the bat. No 2/4 is most likely the 2/4 band not applying. If its a reman, the band should not be wiped clean, perhaps not anchored correctly, dunno...but again the whole 'reman' thing bothers me, gm should stand behind this, especially if they already did some work on it.

Awesome news GM is honoring their warranty! All it took was talking to the right person at the dealership. Basically the 2/4 band slipped off and their it be. Thanks for your input guys.
