It has been a long time since I have posted anything but I just picked up a nice "Mutt" of a square. So a little back story, the previous owner was told by the guy he bought it from that it was originally a 6.2l but had been replaced by a sbc350 which was fine with me and actually bought it on that premises. Once I purchased it I had noticed that the title said K10 which was odd but not unheard of that the DMV had messed up. I proceeded to decode the VIN while matching the VIN on the title to the truck and LOW & BEHOLD it WAS a K10 not a K20. Ok..... well guess the guy swapped axle which still was not a big deal but than I inspected furtur and found that this so-called K10 had a TH400!!!!! By this time I had deduced that the body had been swapped from a nice K10 6.2l onto a chassis of a K20. RPO codes in the box also cement this.
Soooooooo to the actual question! Id love to find out roughly what the actual chassis is under this truck so I seem to remember that you can decode the axle codes to find out some info but cannot for the life of me find any info on decoded this SF-14. Hope someone can shine some light on this for me.
