Gas Filler Relocation

Put a LS Fab tail light filler on this one. After looking at it I'm not optimistic that it will fill well at all. In going to have to 90 it right at the bed floor which is basically right where the nozzle will be.

Then its going to be basically flat an maybe I can 45 it into the tank. I got to go from 1.5 to 2 somewhere in there too. I should have probably modified the tank to a top fill an done a hole in the floor instead. I might see about something on the wheelwell too though. Ultimately its up to the owner though I guess....

like I said in the other post if you didn't see it, I think you'll be fine provided your vent line is higher than your fill.

Thanks, my plan is to route it up the side of the stake pocket as high as I can get it. I have a check valve for it too.

I looked at it and just dont really see how unless I run like, 4 feet of rubber hose lol which I guess I could do perhaps. I thought about cutting the gas door out and relocating it but its kinda made into the fender well and all. That'd be a bit more than I care to get into

But I do also like the idea of using an older style gas cap/filler and putting it on the top of the wheel well inside the bed.

this is obviously nonsense but careful what you wish for! Vented gas cap? Dont do it. You need to seal the area or youre putting a lot of mud and rocks in your bed
You should just replace the bedside if you have any spares or you should graft an opening.

problem would be the low height wouldnt allow for a large tank or youd have to have a transfer pump that moves fuel uphill after being put in a first smaller tank at the license plate
