If it stopped it probably built up to pressure. Is it stopping with the engine running or not running?

I think your problem is somewhere else, if you turn on the key and the pump runs, builds pressure in the system, then stops, that is normal.

Maybe take the pressure line off the throttle body and clamp a hose on it running into a bucket and see how long the pump runs?

Just so you know, you might want to spend the big bucks and just suck it up and go to the dealer for your fuel pump if you are indeed eating them up. I've heard this before that the ones you get from a discount auto parts just aren't worth a damn. Maybe try one from Napa. Napa usually carries good parts too. I believe it's the Delphi or AC/Delco pump you'll want.

I got my last delco at O'reillys...

Cool, I didn't know O'Reilly's carried the Delco brand. Obviously they realized the aftermarket brands were junk too. So there you go, I bet a Delco is much cheaper at O'R than the stealership.
