A warped air horn will/can cause choke and butterfly plates to stick/bind. Maybe the reason your choke wont work ?

Maybe, but the choke door and vertical linkage move very freely. The only warping i can see is near the solenoid and if i had to venture a guess, .010" for 1 inch in that corner. I plan to stick the feeler gauges in there and measure it

If i get a chance today i will take it apart and test my other air horn. Otherwise i will just get a thicker gasket for it.

I would probably shave a thin piece of gasket material for that spot, using the existing gasket as a template. It should taper the way the gap does. Then use some gasket paste (very thin layer) to cement it to the existing gasket and put it back together.

Or you could use a rubber hammer and a flat piece of wood and gently straighten out your air horn. Like a professional would do

Im sorry but its not a good idea to duct tape a carburetor

Haven't had a chance yet to check other air horn, maybe tomorrow. If it isn't better, i plan to just get the thicker gasket. Here is a pic of the problem area, i also wonder if the rubber gasket for the solenoid isn't too thick creating the gap

If the plastic housing is not seated properly while the air horn is tightened that would definitely cause the warpage.

Your best off fixing the warpage and the cause of it

With the airhorn off use a metal ruler as an edge to see where is flat and where is warped.

The solenoid is seated, there is a gasket that sits on top of it, will check tomorrow

Yea a thicker gasket with some run time to swell up the gasket will do. As you said before this wasn't a problem.

I think the gaskets were shipped something slower than first class mail. I was hoping to swap it out this weekend
