My fuel gauge reads incorrect. When tank is full it reads at 1/4. When at half a tank it reads at 1/8. Any thoughts folks?

Are any of the other gauges acting weird? If not I would concentrate on the tank, check the ground and sending unit wire. If the sending unit is original it may just be wiped out.

On the other hand, I had a fuel gauge in a Camaro act the exact same way and it was just a bad gauge. The truck gauges and Camaro gauges are basically the same.

Well when the dash light are on only half of the dash lights up. I also replaced the floater in the tank and that didn't fix the issue

Dash lights could just be bulbs, but it could also have something to do with the positive & negative feeds on the instrument cluster's printed circuit. I would think more than just one gauge and a few dash lights would be acting up though.
