Dumb question: is the inner race replaceable on the fronts (85 K20 w/10 bolt corp)? I'm looking for new bearings and have no issue finding Timken front outers with race, but only the inner bearing with no race. This on every site.

I see off brand chi-com sht showing the race, but its the same pic for anything they sell too.

Thanks.

On further search.....seems I'm not the first to come to this conclusion.

So I guess its the outers only that get new races?

I would never replace a bearing without doing the race to. might have to pull the race and cross reference the number .

According to my reference the Napa # for the inner race is JLM104910. The O.D. is 3.228 " This also says it is the 2nd design so you should pull the old one and take it for show and tell

It's been several years now, but I always had to buy the races separately from the bearings. And that was at NAPA too.

This is what I have found (and ordered). The inner pairs are sold separately. Had to go to 3 different places to get them all.

Timken PNs:

Front inner - JLM104910 (race) // LM104949 (bearing)

Front outer - SET45

This helps alot too:

Timkens online parts catalog.

Inner A-37 outer A-35 comes with races. They have free rental tools to remove and install races. I have a 75 Chevy K10 they should fit. Order online they will have them same day
