is it just me or do squares have terrible suspension travel up front? stock i had about an inch till it hit the bump stops, and with the 2 inch lift i have 3 inches, but thats when the shocks fully compress, i gotta change the bump stop setup. but anyways what do you guys have as far as compression goes?

I have 6" lift but only get maybe 4" or so of compression, maybe a little more. Axle droop, that's another story. I can probably get close to 10" of droop. Add that to the compression and 12-14 inches of front travel aint too bad! I should get the tape measure out sometime and find out exactly what I get front & rear, might be more than I think.

Your extra two inches comes from added leaves, right? That could have a lot to do with your lack of travel.

This is my Burb with 4 inch springs and sway bar still in place:

Probably 9 or 10 inches of travel in those pics, but it may have some more in it. There's more down than up.

whoops i was only asking about compression, yea i get a ton of droop too so theres a lot of travel, but hardly any compression. i may even need limiting straps...

Probably shouldn't give you any ideas.

When I bought my truck in June I couldn't afford all the fees up front so I went to the DMV and got it transferred into my name and insured. The gal asked if I wanted a one-day pass. I declined but then said yes. She showed me what I needed to fill out, and the main thing was the date. I drove it to the dump a few times, some lawnmower races, etc. I just kept the paperwork with me in case I got pulled over. So if I did get pulled over I would fill in the date really quick. Never had to do that, but 2.5 weeks later I got the plates and such so it didn't matter.
