Will these 2 driveshafts interchange? Mine, with the double joint is wore out where the slip yoke is, slines are shot. They both have the same bolt pattern, it'd also be nice to get rid of that double joint.

76 and older had the single joint at the tcase instead of the double cardan. It will work just expect more driveline vibration in 4wd. Also if your truck has any lift you might end up having to clearance the stops so it doesn't bind, and if you clearance too much it will bind anyway. Might take your old one to a driveline shop and see what it would cost to fix it up. I know you can buy the pinion end of the slip and change it out pretty easily, just make sure it is in phase (yokes in line with each other at each end). That's as long as the other part of the slip is in good shape.

Thanks, I thought since my 84 isn't lifted it might work. Don't need any vibration. Looking at it in the truck, it don't really look like it has enough angle to require a double joint.
