I'm looking around at flip kits for my truck. Some say 5 inch drop and some say 6 inch drop. Does it just depend on your truck, whether it drops 5 or 6 inches?

I would prefer to drop mine 5. I'm looking at getting the one from Western Chassis, because I've read they are really good quality, but they say 6 inch drop.

Thanks guys.

No two trucks will ever be the same so yea some might drop only 5 and some might drop 6 it will just depend on the condition of your springs and bushings.

Another factor would be the number of leafs in the pack.

Its quite simple, 3//1 leaf pack is a 5in drop and a 7/1 leaf pack is a 6in drop because of the thickness of the spring itself.

My truck is going to be dropped 4.5 in the front would a 255/60/15 be about the best tire size to run on the front with that drop?

245/60/15 would be better IMO.
