Fender to Cowl Fit.

In trying to align my door/Rocker/Fender lately, I notice I have a little flange on the bottom of my cowl fresh air thing. Where it turn's into the A pillar.

The little flange on the bottom, where it drains water out, is hitting my fender, and I think, keeping it too far out from the A pillar.

I can't look at the other side, because the other side has the inner fender in it, so I can't see it lol.

So, does anyone have an idea why I'm having this interference?

Do you have the shim packs inserted where necessary up top? Here are some images of a truck that was stripped for restoration - it's a later model year but you might be able to use the images as a general guide to ask questions. This number of pictures will probably not be allowed. If it kicks back, I will repost some it the next response box:

I installed about 900,000 fenders but am having trouble understanding what you are saying.

The crudely circled area is hitting the fender, causing it to kick out, from the center of the truck cab. Now, I replaced the cab support, floor, kick panel, inner and outer rocker on that side, so any one of those thing's could be the culprit at this point.

Hmm. Nothing should have changed between the lower part of the cowl and the lower fender attachment; they move together.

You can shim that lower attaching point. Keep in mind if you shim the rear edge of the fender slightly outboard it will allow the door to swing behind the fender when opening, allowing for a slightly smaller gap in the side view (as well as helping with your interference).

There's nothing behind that cowl in that area so if you needed to smash it with a BFH that would probably be ok.

Well, I also couldn't get the door to stop rubber the outer rocker, and couldn't get the rocker to sit level with the cab corner and fender. So I just cut the whole thing off and started over lol.

I will update, thank you for the help!
