Hello all, this is my first post, excited to be a member! I have a 73’ C10, short fleet side bed and I want to do a new exhaust system. I currently have a 350 with long tube headers, so from the headers back, I want to do an x pipe, dual mufflers and then run dual Speedy’s boom tubes, exiting in front of my rear wheels. My question is, if I leave the stock fuel tank, is the proximity of the boom tubes to the bottom of the fuel tank going to pose an issue because of heat? The tips aren’t cheap, so I don’t want to buy 2 if they aren’t going to work without relocation the fuel tank. I’m gather info before I pull the trigger on this project. Thanks and I’m excited to be a part of the community here!
