Hello everyone. I recently bought a 1979 c20 with a 350 in it. Unknown to me the exhaust manifolds weren't original and were missing the air injection pets, so I bought new ones to replace them. The new manifold for the driver side is presenting a problem however. It doesn't fit with the power steering pump mounted.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is the solution as simple as removing the pump and and reinstalling it after the manifold is on? Any help is appreciated!

i had to shim the power steering pump on my 79 long bed ... bought the truck with the pump just sitting there, unbolted with no belt attached ... ended up getting a new harmonic balancer with a belt straight to the pump ... hey whatever works lol

Well as it turns out it wasn't sitting correctly and the lines were what was catching so I redid it and rerouted the lines. All seems to be lining up!
