78 gmc pickup. I was watching a YouTube on replacing the evaporator core and the guy in the video mentioned taking out the probe from the evaporator first before removing the evaporator or you could damage it. I can't see where on my box is there a place to for a probe to go through. All I have is one that's wrapped around one of the accumulator ports. Is it OK to leave it wrapped around the port as is? Or would the system work better if it was actually in the evaporator? If so, I don't see a place where it goes

If you have an accumulator you do not have an expansion valve.
