Electronic speedometer?

Hey guys got a 1980 gmc c2500 Cclb 2wd, it’s been swapped to a 99-06 red/blue connector ecm 5.3l with a 4l80 transmission , they guy before me put a gps speedometer in it and cut a hole in the lens to hold it but I prefer to look of the original gauges is there any options out there for an electric speedometer or a converter from electric to cable that I could install to run an oem looking gauge ?

1990 - 91 Blazer/Suburbans had electronic speedos. For digital gauge clusters there are quite some manufacturers. Glow Shift does not have the best reputation.

Dakota Digital, hands down. Easy to install and looks just like OEM. I got tired of working on my stock instrument cluster and bit the bullet on this one. Sure glad I did. Buddy of mine did glow shift. He totally regrets it and said he should’ve gone with Dakota digital. You can choose white light for color of gauges when lights are on. I went with blue. I went with blue because it matched my stereo and preamp.

I have the dakota digital unit driving the stock speedo in my LLY/Allison 77. Works good. It wasn't cheap tho

Made my own, Closeout VDO speedo from YOGIES, tach and clock from 84 to 88 Monte Carlo. Have to graft them in with Weller soldering iron with plastic melting tip, took took speedo and gas gauge out, removed the guts and cut centers out with big hole saw. The VDO would fit the opening with a little trimming, but the tach had to be JB Welded to the back. Time consuming,but works.
