I have a short somewhere causing all of my dashlights to turn on and the door buzzer to go nuts when I turn my headlights on. It does not happen all the time and only everyonce in a while when I pull my headlight nob out. Is this a short in the fuse block? I have not found any open wires. This gets really annoying on the nights it happens. Any ideas?:893Chainsaw-Smilie-

Well, the all the dash lights are supposed to come on when you turn your headlights on. The door buzzer is what would concern me. I guess I've never been around a square with a door buzzer.

Don't jump fast to fuse block. I'm more apt to start with headlight switch itself. But, before you do that, let some chime in. We don't like parts changers around here. First Diagnose, then buy the right part and be done. NO spending a fortune on guessing, unless it's a maintenance item that needed changed anyway, then you're forgiven.

I am assuming by dash lights, the idiot lights are coming on as well.

Since it seems to only happen when you're pulling your knob (sorry, couldn't resist) I am too inclined to say headlight switch has an internal short that backfeeding to the dash circuits.

He said pulling his knob, not stroking it. So what's wrong with that??? :laughing1:
