Well there is company that are making brackets to use with a running board company but you have to buy the kit for 2k then buy their brackets for a shorted for 600. 2.6k is a bit much for electronic running boards.

With pickups? Seems somewhere between difficult and impossible but let’s see em.

That my be the company I seen, don't remember but price is about right, 1799 + 699. Damn expensive.
The majority of the cost is the running boards themselves. You can sometimes find them on marketplace for a fraction of the cost. I've been on the lookout locally for one of the ones they say tuck up under the floorboards and would just fabricate my own brackets. I'll probably pull the trigger if I find a set of steps for under $500. I have the scrap metal laying around, a plasma cutter, and a welder... so I'm sure I could make it work.

yes that was my thoughts as well that is why I thought I would ask if someone else had already done one. I do alot of fabing myself so when I seen how much they wanted for just the brackets, at first I thought it was the whole kit for 6 or hundred. but 2k plus?

I just realized why it was only suburbans and also why that wouldn't apply to my truck, since I have a 31 Gallon Blazer tank in my pickup and no saddle tanks. The steps by themselves with no additional brackets cost almost $2k, so it makes sense they cost that much with the additional brackets. I dont know about those davis offroad ones, but I know engineered vintage stuff is top quality and powdercoated, which is nice.

Looks like they have it figured out for our trucks with side tanks:

https://www.davisoffroad.com/item/product/987674112

IF you have a spare $2900 burning a hole in your pocket!
I see what they did, just a short step with mounts forward of the tank.
For the OP, I’d think you could maybe cannibalize an old amp step and configure it similar to that.
Warning AMP parts are $$$$. I looked into what I needed to change the amps steps from out 2016 Ram to the 2026, same chassis architecture. By the time I bought the parts, harness controller etc to make the old one work on the new truck it was over half the cost of a new setup.

Well I have been looking for some cheap used ones, If I find some I will indeed mod them. Was just an idea, I do not need them but would be kool to have.
