So I have a 85 Chevy 4x4 C10. I just recently replaced the headlights and realized I have a fluctuation in them. The battery and alternator check out. What else could it be?

Prior to replacing the headlights, did this condition exist? If not, look to the new headlights as the cause.

As a first step, try taking the headlights out of the equation. Just unplug them and see if the system stabilizes.

You didn't mention whether you have the base set-up just two headlights or the RPO V22 option (quad beams). If unplugging the H/L's resolves the fluctuation issue, make sure you have the correct sealed beams.

Base dual headlights use a 6054. Quad H/L's use 4656 (low) and 4651 (high).
