edelbrock fuel line leak. Anyone else?

just reworked my fuel system and part of that was putting a brand new Edelbrock 8126 fuel inlet onto my carburetor.

Pretty sure it’s leaking from the banjo fitting. I’ve got both of the provided washers on either side. I’ve got it tight, but not Hulk tight. Anybody else have this problem?

With a banjo, try to find softer washers. Brass, aluminum or what ever is the easiest to deform under pressure. Then all you can do is tighten more, and check for leaks. Tighten more, and check for leaks, and repeat. Even when they seem like they are going to break or strip, all you can do is keep cranking away or trying different washers.

anybody know the exact size of those particular crush washers? (Shop my truck is in is out in the country. Kind of need to have all my stuff together before I head out there.)

^This. Copper is the way to go. Plastic will always eventually leak. I had the same exact issue.

The problem is that you are trying to seal four parallel surfaces that are not exactly parallel due to today’s fine quality-less control. Put a lite coating of Loctite 518 flange sealer on both sides of both copper gaskets. Use new if possible because you have already distorted the old ones. That’s how we seal up our dual inlet Holley’s without stripping out those fragile fuel bowl threads.

Get in there with an inspection mirror to make sure you don't see any gaps. For years I used a 3/8" hose adapter with nipple pointing down on my old 1406, but it wouldn't totally seal on my new AVS2. Ended up filing down a casting ridge on the carb face that the hose was hitting. Maybe I should have used 5/16" hose, but already had the hose and a nice 3/8" filter that worked just fine on the 1406.
