Easy-run engine stand build

Ok its time for a new project.

I have looked and looked for a cheap engine tst stand, I have concluded there is NOT such thing, unless you make it yourself even then I am not sure how cheap it will end up being.

I really like the universal type of the easy-run so I am gonna coppy it alittle.

I will try to take some pictures of it this evening after i get it built. but heres a picture of what i am shooting for with out all the fancy dodads.

That's a fancy get up. I start up old school motors all the time. Well, used to. Usually set the motor down inside a tire on the ground. If I want to rap on it real good with some heavy throttle jabs, then in the back of a pick up where you can strap it to both sides of the bed to hold it still. I have seen a guy that I showed how to do this, stabbed one to hard and rolled it over out of the tire. Motors do have torque, so if you're going to do this, you better hold on tight cuz they will come out of the tire.

$1500 is alot of cash for what tire, a remote starter button, and an oil pressure guage and tach will do. I sold many used motors where I fired them up so they could be heard running, see the oil pressure, etc, and they were welcome to do a compression test too since there was a starter and battery. You get good money for good engines when they can be properly tested before selling.

nice job when i was in school we made one like that as a project. it was nice.
