Hi, I have 2 questions about electrical work on my 82 square body.

1. there is a weird green box behind my dashboard that connects to 2 wires, a pink and black wire and a black wire, can anyone tell me what that green box is? Looks something like this

2. can anyone tell me the wire colors of the fuel system coming off of that 5 or 7 pin plug for the selector valve, i'm trying to eliminate it and just hook the wires up to a relay and my in tank fuel pumps and float wires.

That looks like the seatbelt buzzer. Just my 2 cents.

Don't know anything about selector wiring. Check out the TECH section.

I was told that green box is for the cruise control? One end goes to the back of the speedo on mine. I don't know for sure, I haven't hooked mine back up yet but I plan on it. I'll find out some day maybe.

That’s the VSS. One cable goes to the back of the speedometer, the other wires go to the cruise harness.
