Hey gm squarebody,
I messed up replacing a seized carrier bearing on my driveshaft. Its an 87 k20 with a 1 ton driveshaft for some reason. So I dropped the 2 piece shaft off at a shop figuring they could replace it for around $100. Today the guy called and he says they also need to weld in a new spline part of the shaft because mine is bent. And it needs new ujoints so they can properly balance the shaft. To do the carrier bearing, new spline part of shaft welded in, and new ujoints he qouted me $495. Does this sound accurate? Am I getting ripped off? Thanks
