Hey y'all, I have a 86 K10 that I've removed the original cluster and I am trying to install a Dakota Digital vhx in. I've got the sensors installed, but have gone back and forth on the wiring which has brought me to a stall...

I wanted to post pictures of my factory instrument connector and the list I've put together trying to label the wiring. Wanted to see if there is anyone to help me confirm what I think ive gotten labeled and Identify my missing pieces. Thanks for any help!

Sounds about right, mines an '80 and very close to the same. I don't have it with me at the moment to double check.

GM often uses pink for Ign. switched hot and Orange for 12 volt constant.

Mine had a "Choke" light wire, cant remember color
4x4 light was separate from the harness

The Pink W/Black tracer wires are all ganged together just past the 'Y' in the harness

@CalSgt Nice to see someone else using the Vintage Air and VHX!!!!
@PoolRxSqBody I went thru that on my 85 a couple years ago. You're going to love it. I highly recommend getting a full layout schematic of the wiring diagram to have on hand. LMC has them and they are very inexpensive. It's worth it's weight in gold

Here’s a picture of the factory plug on my 82 that I installed the same Dakota Digital cluster in, you’ll love it!
