converting help please

i have a 1977 chevy 2wd and i live in wyoming and 2wd just dont cut it here so i found a freind that has a 85 gmc originality a diesel but they have a 350 in it now! he sold the engine out of it and is now going to give me that truck it has no title so can i put my cab and engine out of my 77 chev into that 85 truck ?????????? need help please

O Im pretty sure you can. The front clip on the 85 will work with the 77 cab.

The tail shafts are different for 4x4s and 2wds. now if you have a np205 transfercase you can put it behind a 2wd transmission by divorcing it.

check it out this 85 is running right now but how i scored it was the guy sold the engine out of it and is going to give it to me its got a th350 tranny in it i worked in a tranny shop and prefer not to have an auto if i found a sm 465 out of a 4x4 how would i bolt it up

it should bolt right in. might need the cross member for the 4x4 transmission too.
