So for a while I wanted to run the plastic chevy caps shown in the picture, on my 3/4 ton.
they are held on by the dual thread nuts... which are all metric m14.
imperial ones are avail, but are expensive where I live (Canada)
so, here's what you do, go to scrap yard and get 8 or 16 of the metric ones,
drill out with 33/64" drill, and Tap with cutting fluid 9/16-18.
they work mint.
the thread pitch between m14 and 9/16-18 is so very close....
For now I used 2 per wheel, and they hold the cap on perfectly.
I glued in 6 of the 8 black caps, and left two holes open across from each other.
Just saving money!
