Yeah you definitely got ****** bulbs. Or have wiring issues, mine was night and day difference.

Even among 'good' LEDs, some have a very diffuse light (think flood light bulb), while some have a very focused light (like a spot light). Having ones that are very focused in instruments would give a light and dark effect, like bad back lighting on an LCD TV.

I had bought some for my vette and noticed they required a specific polarity to one side maybe you have this situation and arent getting all the light you should. My truck has them also, is it possible the color of your gauge housing has dulled and is not reflecting light like it should?
