My 85 K1500 has this problem. Haven't fixed it yet, but it appears to me, I'll be replacing the whole wing window assembly. I haven't really looked into a repair though since I have a wing window and figured it would be easier.

Is it at the top or the bottom? I had one fail at the bottom. Only way to fix it is to pull the whole thing out and weld the stud back to the window frame.

If it's at the top, then you can buy the rivets to put it back together.

Mine is broke at the bottom. The window just hangs there when open.

yeah... found out when I picked up my truck that mine had the same issue... there's a spring loaded stud that is attached to the bottom of the glass frame. Mine had rusted really bad and then broke off so the PO wired it shut.

I think I'm going to fix mine as they're the originals and all, but for the later style wing windows, I'd just replace the whole thing and just make sure the bottom pivot point is well oiled up.

Yup, it'll fit the '82. How does $25 plus shipping sound? I can take pictures of it when I get home tonight.

Sounds good... Here are the pics. There's a small shallow chip near the latch and the seals are dried up like they are on most of them... So, I'll throw in a spare piece of glass just in cast you need it and knock $5 off.

Shipping should be about $15, which will bring the total to let's say $35. PM me when you're ready to send the money over and we'll get the ball rolling. :)
