Yeah, and the transmission ( transmissions?) was a beast, 6 speed, hi-low box, forward - reverse, creeper gears, and a 2 speed PTO. Damm thing had about a half a dozen shiters between the seats.

Took a while to figure it all out. Didn't need a security system, just move a couple of shifters, and unless the crook knew what he was doing, he wouldn't get far.

have any of you thought about sliders or possible a receiver winch?
the steps reduce the clearance to rockers some, but worked great as sliders for me keeping the transfer case mostly clear. Other picture can see the front receiver hitch laying on the ground when I was swapping the front ends after elk meeting.

Dirt Everyday did an episode where they drove one like 600 mile on pavement. They were gonna drive it with the hoe on the back and the bucket on the front. The decided not to lol

I've only got to see a few of those shows. But I'd drive one 600 miles without a second thought. Hell, there's been countless times I've driven an actual tractor several hundred miles at a time. It ain't nothing if they are designed for it.

I don’t think a Unimog was designed for road trips lol
